CAPE TOWN - Waratahs coach Michael Cheika faces a judicial hearing over his alleged sideline confrontation with a cameraman two weeks ago.

Super Rugby's governing body South Africa, New Zealand and Australia Rugby (Sanzar) says it has completed an investigation into the incident.

It took place during the Waratahs clash with the Sharks at Kings Park Stadium in Durban last month.

The case will be heard by a Sanzar judicial officer via teleconference next Wednesday.

Local broadcaster SuperSport lodged the complaint.

The cameraman was filming Cheika after he left the coach's box and went down the sideline mid-match.

Sanzar said it would make no further comment until the judicial process was completed.
