Vavi back at work after suspension
Vavi says he will reach out to colleagues who do not like his leadership style.
JOHANNESBURG - Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi says he knows he'll have to reach out to colleagues in the trade union federation who are uncomfortable about his leadership style.
Nine affiliate unions which supported Vavi during his suspension are expected to welcome him back to Cosatu House this morning.
The general secretary says as far as he's concerned it'll be business as usual today.
"We have to talk to one another and I accept that, but this is day one so let's see what happens."
Cosatu's Central Executive Committee will meet tomorrow and could end up suspending Vavi again for having sex with a junior employee at work.
