The fourth season of the political thriller will start filming in Cape Town in June.
JOHANNESBURG - The fourth season of political thriller Homeland will be filmed in Cape Town.
Showtime and Fox 21 announced on Friday that the award-winning drama series will begin production in Cape Town in mid-June and continue through until November.
In a statement, the show's executive producer Alex Gansa said he was thrilled that the show had found a new home in Cape Town.
"We knew going into season four that we would need to move the production overseas to tell the story of Carrie returning to the Middle East as chief of station."
The series has previously been filmed in Israel, Puerto Rico and Morocco.
