PE child rapist gets life
Xolile Tose (33) abducted and repeatedly raped a six-year-old Motherwell girl for 15 hours.
CAPE TOWN - The man accused of raping a six-year-old girl has been handed a life sentence in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Thursday.
Xolile Tose abducted the Motherwell girl two years ago before repeatedly raping her for around 15 hours.
The 33-year-old then released the girl.
The child, now eight, has to wear a colostomy bag as a result of the attack and has left school due to teasing.
Police spokesperson Thembi Gwe says blood found on Tose's T-shirt was vital evidence in the case.
"Immediately after the sentence [was handed down], he tried to put up an application with his advocate to appeal against the sentence."
The application was dismissed by the court.
Police earlier said the child was allegedly found walking on the road wearing a bloodstained sweater.
