Montecasino accused to apply for bail
Jean-Pierre Malan and Maruschka Robinson are accused of killing Dustan Blom.
JOHANNESBURG - Two people accused of killing a man and leaving his body in the boot of a car at Montecasino are expected to launch a formal bail application later this month.
Jean-Pierre Malan and Maruschka Robinson, a former stripper, appeared in the Randburg Magistrates Court today.
They face murder charges after 36-old-year-old Dustan Blom's body was found in the boot of his car in the parking garage at the entertainment venue in September last year.
The accused were arrested shortly after the discovery.
Autopsy results reveal that Blom was strangled to death.
During a previous court appearance it emerged that Malan's former girlfriend Robinson confessed to killing the 36-year-old.
The duo also allegedly withdrew R35,000 from the deceased's account.
The case will resume on 24 April.
