Man found dead in Thabong

JOHANNESBURG - Police have discovered the body of a man who has been brutally murdered in the Thabong area in the Free State on Sunday.

They say the 26-year-old man sustained multiple stab wounds on his back and chest.

His head was also hacked and his throat was slit with a sharp object.

No one has yet been arrested.

The police's Malebo Khosana says a murder docket has been opened.

"We were called to the scene where a man was found brutally murdered. We have opened a case for further investigations. No one has been arrested and there are no witnesses."
