CAPE TOWN -Ajax Cape Town's winless run continued with a 2-0 loss to Mpumalanga Black Aces at Athlone Stadium on Friday night.

It was the worst possible start for Ajax as they found themselves trailing after just two minutes.

A great cross from Thabo Qalinge found Tendai Ndoro and he made no mistake of burying the ball.

The home team had their fair amount chances to score as Eleazar Rodgers had the opportunity to level the scores but his header went over the bar.

Ajax goalkeeper Anssi Jaakkola was in excellent form for his team yet again in the first half making two great saves close to the end of the first period.

Things didn't get better in the second half as the Urban Warriors were flat. They failed to create chances or come up with ideas upfront, an area they were lacking in.

Aces made the most of Ajax's lacklustre performance.

Ndoro got his second goal of the game after Aces caught the Urban Warriors on the counter and an easy tap in saw him seal the win and the three points for the travelling team.

After the game, a visibly disappointed Roger de Sa said conceding a goal so early in the game didn't make their job easier.

"Yes that was a disappointing performance. The first mistake we made was when we conceded the goal. You can't make those mistakes at this level and have it easy against a team like this."

While Aces coach Clive Barker believes everything went his team's way.

Barker had nothing but praise for him team.

"I just think they have the ability to click on and the ability to go past players. They are a good team. Had Ajax scored that goal, it could have been one all and things could have gone either way but in saying that, I think we were better than them."

Aces are now sixth on the log after the win, while Ajax drop to 11th place.
