CAPE TOWN - Organisers of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival said they cannot wait for the event to kick off.

Around 35,000 music lovers are expected to attend the 15th annual festival, which kicks off on Friday.

Fans are in for a treat as this year's line-up includes international and local acts such as Shakatak and Jimmy Nevis.

The festival's Billy Domingo said there's something for everyone.

"People come here for different reasons. Some come for the music, some for networking opportunities and some come to meet friends. We create a platform that artists from around the world and African come together and perform and many people like it."
