JOHANNESBURG - Dramatic details emerged in court on Wednesday about a Johannesburg man found dead in the boot of his car at Montecasino.

The Randburg Magistrates Court heard Maruschka Robinson confessed to the murder of Dustin Blom.

He was first strangled in his home, before his body was dumped in a parking lot at the northern Johannesburg casino.

The former stripper has also implicated her boyfriend Jean-Pierre Malan.

The state says it can prove the murder was premeditated.

Prosecutors put together a powerful case against Robinson and Malan from cellphone recordings of conversations to post-mortem results and CCTV footage.

Prosecutor Yusuf Baba says CCTV footage the state obtained from Montecasino shows the pair's movements on the night Blom was killed.

He's told the court forensic evidence proves Blom was killed in his home.

His body was in the boot of his car for two days.

Robinson and Malan were arrested days later.

They have both been formally charged with premeditated murder and are expected back in court next week.
