Shark kills Austrian tourist
A 72-year-old man died after he was attacked by a shark at Port St Johns on Saturday.
CAPE TOWN - The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) has confirmed an Austrian tourist has been killed in a shark attack in the Eastern Cape.
The incident happened on Saturday at Port St Johns.
It's been confirmed the 72-year-old man and his wife were touring the area as part of a tour group.
The NSRI's Craig Lambinon says, "On arrival on scene, it was found that the 72-year-old Austrian tourist had been fatally wounded by a shark bite. His body was handed into the care of the police and the forensic pathology services."
