CAPE TOWN - The company that lost a multi-million rand contract related to Cape Town's MyCiTi Bus Service has denied claims it has been under-performing.

The City of Cape Town cancelled the contract, saying it wasn't happy with the services of Lumen Technologies.

The company was responsible for running the control centre for the bus service.

Spokesperson Shukri Kadri says they will be taking the city to court.

"We emphatically disagree with the allegations made by the City of Cape Town. Lumen has surpassed all our marks and obligation with regards to management of the contract and achieving milestones. There were numerous delays and the delays were caused by the city and the infrastructure."
