Delft CPF continues fight against gangs
The Delft CPF says it will continue to make its presence felt in the area.
CAPE TOWN - The Delft Community Policing Forum (CPF) says it will continue to make its presence felt in the area where gang warfare is claiming the lives of so many people.
Some Delft residents and civic organisations marched the streets in the area last week, going door-to-door of alleged gang members' houses.
Wooden crosses which were painted red were erected in front of their properties to mark the lives which have been cut short because of the gang conflict.
The Delft CPF's Reginald Maart says, "We went to two of the main bosses' houses where we put up the crosses. We also had, from the community, members who had lost people and they are the ones who nailed the crosses to various poles in the area."
