Anni’s family hoping for Shrien’s extradition
Shrien Dewani denies being the mastermind of his wife's murder in an alleged staged hijacking.
Earlier this month he lost an appeal to remain in the United Kingdom (UK), opening up a 28-day window period for him to be extradited.
The 33-year-old denies being the mastermind of his wife's murder in an alleged staged hijacking in Cape Town in 2010.
Anni's uncle, Ashok Hindocha says, "We've been very patient through the whole process. There have been times where we got our hopes up a lot, which ended in disappointment, so we just take it as it comes."
"So until this matter is resolved obviously we're very stressed about it."
Meanwhile, the Justice Department's Mthunzi Mhaga says they're working closely with the UK home secretary to finalise Dewani's extradition.
"It will be difficult for me to commit to time frames but, the justice department and the home secretary in London are working tirelessly to ensure that he comes to South Africa within the time frame that we have to do so."
