Drug bust link to bigger syndicate
The Hawks are hoping to make more arrests following the discovery of a mandrax drug lab in Lanseria.
JOHANNESBURG - The Hawks believe four men arrested for allegedly producing mandrax tablets at a drug laboratory in Lanseria are linked to a bigger syndicate.
The men are expected to appear in court soon after Thursday's bust in the North Western Johannesburg suburb.
Two of the suspects are South African while the other two are from Malawi.
The Hawks's Paul Ramaloko says they are hoping to make more arrests.
"We confiscated drugs and drug-manufacturing chemicals and machinery to the street value of R3 million. The suspects will be taken to the Krugersdorp Magistrates Court on Monday on charges of dealing in drugs."
