ANC slams DA for load-shedding signs

JOHANNESBURG - The ANC and the Democratic Alliance (DA) are at it again over another of the opposition's billboards criticising the ruling party.

The ANC has slammed the DA for its latest campaign which blames the ruling party for last week's load shedding.

It has erected billboards along Gauteng highways reading 'Load shedding proudly brought to you by the ANC'.

The ANC's Keith Khoza says the opposition is sadistically celebrating the country's problems.

"They will stop at nothing to use anything for election purposes but the good thing is the people can see through them. They aren't helping the country find solutions to problem."

But the DA's Mmusi Maimane says the ANC is to blame for Eskom's problems because the government has delayed building new power stations to help boost capacity.

"It's vital that South Africans become aware of that issue and our billboards are a glow in the dark so they should continue for a while."

Last year, the DA and the ANC squared off over the opposition's billboard campaign blaming the ANC for implementing e-tolls in Gauteng.
