CAPE TOWN - It's been a testing week for the Stormers in a cold and rainy Christchurch, as they prepare for tomorrow's Super Rugby game against the Crusaders.

Harsh weather conditions resulted in team training being cancelled on Tuesday after just twenty minutes, with the team only having their first decent training session yesterday.

Captain Jean de Villiers says the Stormers, who have never beaten the Crusaders in Christchurch, want to overcome the bogey.

"It would be great to get a victory here, so we're definitely not going onto the field thinking we don't stand a chance. We like the state we're in at the moment, we fancy our chances, and like any game we play to win."

De Villiers says preparations have been tough.

"The situation regarding the weather has been absolutely terrible. Our preparation hasn't been ideal up until now but we have to adapt. We haven't won here although we have come close at times. It's about improving as a team and getting better."
