Pistorius trial: Third witness cross-examined
Charl Johnson is under cross-examination by defence advocate Barry Roux.
State prosecutor Gerrie Nel resumed proceedings by putting on court record that Johnson's cellphone number was read out in court.

He answered in the affirmative and said he was being harassed and inundated with hundreds of calls which resulted in him leaving his phone switched off.
Roux then began the cross-examination and picked up a discrepancy in the way Johnson described going to bed.
In his statement, Johnson says he went to bed at approximately 9pm, but testified "between nine and 10".
Roux pointed out that his wife Burger also testified that they went to bed "between nine and 10".
The defence advocate seems to be suggesting that Johnson and Burger were influenced by the other and the media in their testimonies.

Roux suggested some of the notes Johnson made to help maintain his memory of events covered not only what he did remember, but also things he specifically didn't notice at the time of the shooting.
Roux yesterday started the cross-examination by asking whether Johnson had discussed his wife's testimony with her, and also accused Burger of using her husband's statement as a template.
Johnson and Burger live in Silver Stream Estate, which is adjacent to the Silver Woods Country Estate, where the shooting took place.
The couple has a direct line of sight to Pistorius's multimillion rand property.

Yesterday, he backed up his wife's testimony saying there were two separate voices and screams, which sounded distressful.
"I could hear she was in trouble. They were clearly distress calls."
Johnson told the court at first, he didn't want to involve himself in such a high-profile matter, but eventually realised it was important he give his account.
Roux attempted to prove Burger was not reliable, arguing her statement had striking similarities to that of her husband's. Oscar Pistorius arrives on day three of his trial. Picture: Marc Lewis/EWN
