CAPE TOWN - Western Cape police are investigating a string of road-rage incidents in the province.

There have been at least three separate incidents over the past week.

Most recently, a video showing cyclists attacking a motorist in Sea Point this weekend has gone viral.

The video showing at least two cyclists attacking a motorist along Beach Road has sparked outrage on social networks and within the cycling fraternity.

The footage shows the driver being punched and attacked with a bicycle wheel.

The police's Frederick Van Wyk has urged witnesses to come forward with information.

"No suspects have been arrested yet and the investigation continues."

In another incident last week, a man was sent to the emergency room after being attacked by another motorist on Sir Lowry's Pass.

And in yet another example of road rage, a driver rear-ended another vehicle on the N1 Highway following an altercation.
