CAPE TOWN - Maties FC captain John Lewis on Wednesday said his team is staying calm ahead of their Nedbank Cup last 32 match against Bloemfontein Celtic.

The match will take place this evening.

The Stellenbosch-based team will be hoping to stun their Premier Soccer League (PSL) opposition in a clash that is being billed as the biggest in Maties' history.

Lewis says they want to win, but they can't get ahead of themselves.

"We're looking forward to the last 16 already, but we have to focus on the task at hand, which is the last 32 against Bloemfontein Celtic."

Lewis says the team will be relying on the PSL experience of former Ajax Cape Town player Alcardo van Graan.

"He tells us a lot of things because he has a good record against Bloemfontein Celtic. He knows how they play. It's definitely helpful information."
