CAPE TOWN - Maties soccer coach Reggie Jantjies believes his team can beat Bloemfontein Celtic in the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup on Wednesday.

The game has been billed a David versus Goliath clash with Maties players, many of whom are still schoolboys in matric, up against the Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants.

Jantjies says he knows his team will perform well and put on a good show, whatever the outcome.

"We could either be very good on the night or we could be disastrous. I'm opting for the former, because I know we will be great and give a good account of ourselves, irrespective of the result."

The coach says while his team respect Celtic, they aren't afraid of taking them on.

"They're one of the top teams in the PSL, but we're looking forward to the big game. This game is for all the Maties players and it is one of the biggest games that they're ever going to play in."
