Six killed on WC roads
At least six people have lost their lives in road accidents across the Western Cape this weekend.
CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Traffic Services say six people have died in road accidents across the province this weekend.
During several road blocks across the province, 18 drunken drivers were arrested and at least five motorists were taken into custody after they were found in possession of tik and dagga.
Traffic officials have also issued fines of about R146,000.
Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says, "There were six fatalities reported. The first one was early Saturday morning on Robertson Road where a heavy motor vehicle and a light motor vehicle were involved in an accident. All three occupants of the light motor vehicle died."
