JOHANNESBURG - The Proteas will go into day three of the second test against Australia firmly in control.

South Africa were bowled out for 423 but two quick wickets from Wayne Parnell put the home team on the front foot.

JP Duminy made 123 with AB de Villiers scoring 116.

Duminy says he didn't panic.

"There was obviously a bit of butterflies around and I knew that today is gonna be a big day for us in terms of our team and for me personally. So it's just about staying focused and taking one ball at a time."

Australia will resume on 112/4.
