Murder charges for road-rage motorist
The motorist will be charged with murder after shooting and killing motorcyclist Douglas Pearce.
JOHANNESBURG - A motorist involved in an apparent road-rage shooting in northern Johannesburg, which left one man dead, is expected to appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court this morning.
Douglas Pearce (39), who was riding a Kawasaki superbike, was shot and killed on Friday morning when an altercation with a motorist in a sedan escalated.

Police say the two pulled off the road and began arguing.
Both men were in possession of firearms.
The motorist was severely injured during the confrontation and witnesses say he pulled out a gun and opened fire on the motorcyclist.
Pearce was declared dead at the scene.
Firearms were recovered from both men and sent for ballistic testing.
The motorist was treated for head injuries in hospital under police guard.
Police say the 43-year-old suspect will be charged with murder.
