CAPE TOWN - Several streets in the Cape Town CBD are cordoned off as hundreds of people continue to make their way to the Western Cape High Court.

The march is in support of expelled ANC councillor Loyiso Nkohla.

There is a heavy police presence in the CBD as hundreds of people standing in front of the court wait to be addressed by Nkohla.

Nkohla is at court to appeal a decision by the City of Cape Town to sack him as a councillor.

He was fired for his involvement in a series of faeces dumping incidents in the Mother City.

Some of his supporters have warned there will be consequences if his appeal is unsuccessful.
