Support for family of shack fire victims
A teen, along with his parents, sister and nephew lost their lives when a fire gutted their shack.
CAPE TOWN - A teenager, who started high school this year, is one of five members of the family which died in a Lotus River shack fire.
Kirk Jacobs (13), his parents, his older sister and nephew died in the blaze, which also gutted two backyard shacks early on Monday morning.
The principal of Zeekoevlei Secondary School says the school plans to do all it can to support Jacobs's family.

William Prinsloo visited the tragic scene where the 13-year-old and his relatives were found on Monday.
Prinsloo says they want to help where they can.
"It's a very close-knit community, so what the school is going to do now is check how we can support the family."

The youngest victim would have turned three this Friday.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
Funeral preparations are currently underway.
