Smith predicts exciting Test
Proteas skipper Graeme Smith says the Centurion pitch will make for an exciting first Test.
JOHANNESBURG - Proteas skipper Graeme Smith says the wicket at Supersport Park could make for an exciting Test match.
The highly anticipated series between the Proteas and the Australians gets underway with the start of the first Test tomorrow, although the Proteas have yet to finalise their starting eleven.
The good news is that the team has a clean bill of health with all players fit and available.
Smith believes the Centurion track should offer something for both the batsmen and the bowlers.
"I guess Centurion is always a pretty good wicket. It's had a little bit more in it of late over the last few Test matches that we've played at this ground. But if it's hot it does become a good batting surface through the Test match. Looking at it yesterday, it does look like it will have a little bit in it."
