SAFA, Mosimane agree settlement
The former Bafana Bafana coach and SAFA have settled their dispute over his dismissal.
CAPE TOWN - The dispute between former Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane and SAFA over allegations of unfair dismissal has been resolved, according to Mosimane's lawyer Rod Harper.
The former national team head coach had been seeking R10 million from SAFA for what he claims was unfair termination following his sacking in June 2012.
Mosimane was fired after his Bafana side drew 1-1 against Ethiopia in a World Cup qualifier.
Harper says the two parties have now reached a confidential agreement on the matter.
"The parties met on Thursday and Friday last week, negotiated the resolution of the dispute, and have entered into an agreement which has been signed by the parties. It's a secret agreement, and unfortunately I can't comment any further on its contents."
Harper has added that the contract means that Mosimane will not be pursing any further action against the association.
"The agreement fully resolves the litigation which he instituted against SAFA."
