Fake goods seized in police operations
The Hawks' Paul Ramaloko says they are investigating the origin of the fake goods.
JOHANNESBURG - Counterfeit goods with a combined estimated value of over R800,000 have been seized during police operations in Limpopo and Gauteng this week.
At least 15 shops were raided in various parts of Limpopo, where more than 1,800 items, including fake designer clothes worth R335,000 were confiscated.
While in Gauteng, police found counterfeit goods to the value of R500,000.
The Hawks' Paul Ramaloko says they are investigating to establish the origin of the fake goods.
"The operation was conducted during a two day period. We're continuing with the investigation to establish the origin of these goods."
