Dolphins win Ram Slam T20
The Sunfoil Dolphins' victory sees them claim their domestic title since the 2005/06 season.
JOHANNESBURG - The Sunfoil Dolphins have won the Ram Slam T20 by 2 runs over the Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras at Newlands Stadium.
The victory for the Dolphins sees them claim their domestic title since the 2005/06 season.
Coach Lance Klusener, who was the captain the last time the dolphins won a trophy, had nothing but praise for his team's Super Over victory
"I'm very happy for the boys especially because they work so hard and we've been waiting for this opportunity."
Klusener attributed the team's success to everybody pitching in rather than individual performances.
"As special as David's knock was in the previous game, it didn't really count for anything, doing all the small things right is more important and that's what we did.
Klusener is also hopeful that the victory in the Ram Slam T20 will start a snowball effect that sees the side begin to dominate the domestic cricket scene.
"That's part of a winning culture and we're trying to create that and it came quicker than we thought. Credit must go to all the players and management for their hard work and the belief they have."
