HARARE - The Zimbabwe Olympic Committee says it's not putting any pressure on its first ever Winter Olympic athlete to bring home a medal.

The 20-year-old skier, Luke Steyn, is representing Zimbabwe in the Sochi winter games.

Steyn left Zimbabwe at the age of two and learnt to ski on family vacations in Europe.

Zimbabwe Olympic Committee CEO Anna Mguni says they're overjoyed that he qualified.

"It's extremely historic for us as Zimbabwe. It's a major milestone in our own lifetime here as the Zimbabwean Olympic Committee management and the board. We're very excited and looking forward to it."
