Dagga bust in Kimberley

CAPE TOWN - A Northern Cape man has been arrested for the possession of dagga worth R50,000.

The 35-year-old was arrested in Kimberley on Tuesday.

Police found six bags of compressed dagga, weighing more than eight kilograms, in a bag he was carrying.

Police spokesperson Sergio Kock says they are investigating the incident.

"Police officers spotted a suspicious looking man carrying a black gym bag. The police stopped and searched the suspect. The suspect was arrested."
