JOHANNESBURG - Paramedics and emergency services are on the scene of a plane crash at Lanseria International Airport and unconfirmed reports say at least three people have died.

But it's believed there were as many as 21 people on board.

The twin engine Beechcraft 90 aircraft crashed and burst into flames while attempting to land in bad weather.

An eyewitness says he saw the plane go down.

"Smoke came out and I saw fire and a few minutes later emergency vehicles arrived."

Lanseria Airport CEO Gavin Sayce says paramedics are on the scene.

"Initial reports are that it was attempting a landing, something went wrong and it crashed."
