Limpopo boy to be laid to rest
The grade R learner died after he fell into a pit toilet at a school in Limpopo.
JOHANNESBURG - A boy who fell into a pit toilet at a school in Limpopo will be laid to rest today.
A funeral service will be held at the boy's home in Chebeng Village near Seshego this morning.
Government will pay for the funeral.
The grade R pupil's body was found in the toilet by another learner hours after he disappeared.
It is understood the grade r pupil disappeared during break time at the Mahlodumela Primary School on Monday.
When he did not return to class, his teacher apparently assumed he had gone home for the day.
A classmate then discovered his body hours later in a pit toilet and raised the alarm.
Staff members and pupils at the school were later given trauma counselling.
Meanwhile, at least 18 flushing toilets will be installed at the school following the incident.
