JOHANNESBURG - Orlando Pirates have confirmed that Thulasizwe Mbuyane has moved to Mpumalanga Black Aces on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

The 31-year old striker was part of the Pirates side that won back-to-back trebles under former coach Ruud Krol.

Mbuyane's deal with Pirates was due to expire at the end of the season, but following a meeting with Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza, Aces' CEO Mario Morfou says they have reached an agreement to buy Mbuyane out of his contract.

Another struggling side, Bloemfontein Celtic have also been busy in the transfer window, with the announcement earlier this week that they have signed Mogogi Gabonamong from SuperSport United.

Gabonamong, who can play as both a defensive midfielder and central defender, has signed a 30-month contract with the club, who are currently 12th on the log.

While Gabonamong is on his way in, John Arwuah is on the way out of Celtic.

Arwuah has moved to Amazulu after he agreed to sign a pre-contract agreement.

Management at Celtic, however, decided to release the player early and he will be in the KwaZulu Natal outfit.

Arwuah joins the Amazulu on a three and a half year contract.
