JOHANNESBURG - It's been reported a fourth man, who was shot and wounded, allegedly by police, in Mothutlung during protests has died.

It's understood the man was shot in the head and passed away in hospital this morning.

Three other people, including 27-year-old Theodore Seema, were killed during service delivery protest in the North West township last week and were laid to rest at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Democratic Alliance (DA) Parliamentary Leader Lindiwe Mazibuko will this morning lead a delegation to Mothutlung to meet with bereaved families and inspect the local water plant.

On Friday, Water Affairs Minister Edna Molewa promised the Mothutlung community that three pumps supplying the area with water were operational and all residents will have water by today.

Mazibuko says she will check if the minister has delivered on her promise.

"The government's response is a fundamental indication of how it is both failing to deliver and insensitive to the plight of ordinary South Africans. I am going to take the opportunity today to go and hear from the people themselves and see for myself."
