Hawks make R1.2m drug bust

JOHANNESBURG - Three people have been arrested in connection with dealing drugs in Lonehill, north of Johannesburg.

Authorities recovered crystal meth, cocaine and CAT worth an estimated street value of over R1 million.

The trio were taken into custody on Friday.

The Hawks' Paul Ramaloko says the suspects will appear in court soon.

"They are two Nigerian men and one Zimbabwean female. We confiscated drugs to the value of R1.2 million. They are currently in custody, facing charges of possession and dealing in drugs. We will be taking them to the Randburg Magistrates Court on Monday."
