DURBAN - Police have fired rubber bullets and used a water cannon and tear gas against a group of people believed to be ANC members after throwing stones at the police and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) supporters near Nkandla in KwaZulu-Natal.
The EFF handed over a house they built next to President Jacob Zuma's homestead to a family.
It has also been reported ANC members earlier blocked the road preventing leader Julius Malema from using the road.
The police's Thulani Zwane says so far at least two people have been arrested.
"The group of people threw the stones towards members of the police therefore some of the vehicles have been damaged. We managed to arrest few of those suspect and they will be charged with malicious damage to property."
