Alleged mob justice kills teen

JOHANNESBURG - A 16-year-old boy has been killed and another is in a critical condition after being assaulted allegedly by two men in Dobsonville in Soweto, Gauteng police said on Saturday.

Authorities say the two teens were caught for apparently stealing electrical appliances.

It's understood they were severely beaten and one of them died at the scene.

The police's Kay Makhubela says two suspects have been arrested and will appear in court on Monday.

"Two men were arrested. They are 30 and 38-years of age. They will be appearing at the Protea Magistrates Court soon. They will be facing charges of murder as well as assault."
