JOHANNESBURG - Eyewitness News understands police have arrested three people for conspiracy to murder forensic investigator Paul O'Sullivan and crime intelligence officer Nkosana 'Killer' Ximba.

The arrests were made by the police's Special Task Team investigating crimes linked to Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir.

Some of the arrests were made at the Road Lodge in Rivonia, north of Johannesburg.

Officials confirmed two men and a woman are now in police custody.

One of the men arrested was a suspect officials were trying to track down for months.

It is believed the man is linked to the same kidnapping and attempted murder case which Krejcir is currently facing charges for.

The remaining two suspects were arrested at the same at around 5pm.

It is believed the hit on O'Sullivan was meant to take place on Thursday, but officers were tipped-off.

O'Sullivan confirmed he was the target of the hit.

He says he's pleased to be alive.

He was appealing against an earlier bail ruling.
