Little Jasmin to be buried on Wednesday
The four-year-old girl was raped and murdered, allegedly at the hands of her uncle.
JOHANNESBURG - The family of East Rand child Jasmin Pretorius are now preparing to lay her to rest, more than a week after she was raped and murdered, allegedly at the hands of her own uncle.
The four-year-old girl's body was found under a bed in her father's flat in Brakpan.
The family will say their last goodbyes to Jasmin on Wednesday, when she will be laid to rest.
It's been a dramatic couple of days for her parents, who community members say are partly to blame for her death because they didn't do enough to protect her.
The family says little Jasmin's mother Sasha Lee Bam is still finding it hard to come to terms with her daughter's death.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old accused will make his second court appearance tomorrow.
It has emerged he has three previous convictions.
