Komphela on verge of PSL comeback
Steve Komphela has been out of a job after he was sacked from Free State Stars in December.
JOHANNESBURG - Steve Komphela is on the verge of being hired as the head coach of an unnamed Premier Soccer League (PSL) club, agent Tim Sukazi confirmed on Thursday.
Komphela has been out of a job after he was sacked from Free State Stars in December.
"It's a head coach position and he will be given a contract that should run for the next 24 to 30 months," said Sukazi.
The agent was not willing to name the club.
He said an announcement will be made in the next 24 hours.
"I can't reveal the name of the club at this stage. The club concerned will make its own formal announcement. The terms have already been settled and Steve is on the way to my office to sign the contract.
"I expect an announcement to be made either tonight [Thursday] or by midday tomorrow [Friday]."
