JOHANNESBURG - Limpopo police have appealed for help in finding a man who allegedly shot dead his two stepdaughters.

But police have also warned people to be cautious because he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

The 39-year-old man is alleged to have killed his eight-year-old and ten-year-old stepdaughters yesterday in Ga Chuene outside Lebowakgomo.

It's alleged he picked them up along with his two year old son at their grandmother's house and drove to his wife's workplace where he tried getting hold of her.

When he couldn't find her he allegedly went on a shooting rampage shooting dead the two girls.

The police's Hangwani Mulaudzi said, "When he couldn't find her he went outside and started shooting. The eight-year-old fled and went back to the grandmother's house.

"He followed her as well and shot her before giving his son to a stranger. Since then he has been on the run and we are looking for him."
