Political parties wish SA a Happy New Year
The ANC, DA and UDM have wished all South African’s a happy New Year.
JOHANNESBURG - In its New Year's message, the African National Congress says in 2014 the country should never forget to honour the legacy of stalwarts such as Nelson Mandela.
The party's Keith Khoza said, "It is a year in which we start ensuring that his legacy lives among us, and he lives with us through his words and deeds."
The Democratic Alliance's Mmusi Maimane said, "We wish South Africans an incredible 2014. We wish incredible growth on our economy in which the poor and unemployed may find relief in."
United Democratic Movement's Bantu Holomisa says South African's should use 2014 to turn over a new leaf.
"2014 brings with it an opportunity for us to recommit to the original agenda of improving the lives of all South Africans."
