JOHANNESBURG - South African musician Steve Hofmeyr is expected to appear in the Bronkhorstspruit Magistrate's Court this morning, for speeding.

Hofmeyr was rushing to a concert in Badplaas on Thursday.

He was arrested after allegedly driving at 169 km/h in an 80km/h zone on the N4 near Bronkhorstspruit.

The singer was released on R500 bail the same night.

But on the night of his arrest, Hofmeyr was not the only high profile South African caught speeding.
