Qunu funeral details released
Around 4,000 people are expected to attend Nelson Mandela’s funeral in the Eastern Cape on Sunday.
But only some 400 of those will be allowed to attend Mandela's actual burial.
It's been exactly one week since the passing of South Africa's former president.
Minister in the Presidency, Collins Chabane, says Tata Mabiba's body will be flown to the Eastern Cape on Saturday.
"If, for example, the weather is bad, we'll have to land in East London and then move by road. If the weather is okay we're likely to land at the Mthatha Airport."
He says that's when Mandela's body will formally be handed over to the family.
"Between the airport and the house, the defence force will hand the body to the ANC who will hand the body over to the family."
Chabane says the funeral will start at 9am on Sunday morning in an arena that has limited seating.
The minister adds that once the official proceedings have ended, around 400 people will move to the burial site.
