Holomisa recounts Madiba's final moments
Bantu Holomisa has described Madiba's last few moments before his passing.
CAPE TOWN - Veteran politician and President of the United Democratic Movement (UDM) Bantu Holomisa has recounted the last moments he spent with Nelson Mandela on the day he passed away.
Madiba died on Thursday 5 December at the age of 95.
Holomisa, who has been a close friend of the Mandela family for many years, was one of the last people to see the former statesman alive.
Holomisa says Graça Machel took the best care of Madiba.
"If we had a family meeting she would continue to say to us, 'please guys, be exemplary and promote unity in the family'. I think she played a good role in the last years of Madiba's life."

"I stood there and saw that he was worse than he was before and I just nodded towards Graça and Winnie and asked the doctors to take me out."
