JOHANNESBURG - The Telkom Knockout final between Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars will go ahead as planned, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) confirmed on Friday.

The two sides meet for their second successive cup final at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga on Saturday

PSL's Connie Motshumi confirmed the game will go ahead.

"The match will go ahead tomorrow and all the matches that were planned for tonight and the rest of the weekend will continue as scheduled. We are dedicating the matches to Nelson Mandela.

Motshumi added, "On the day of his funeral, there will be no PSL or National First Division (NFD) matches taking place."

Both Pirates and Platinum Stars will observe a moment of silence for the former president.
