'Parliament not working hard enough'
The DA says in its annual review, Parliament hasn’t spent enough time fulfilling its responsibilities.
CAPE TOWN - The Democratic Alliance (DA) says Parliament isn't working hard enough.
The party, which presented its annual review for the past year in Parliament on Wednesday, says members didn't spend enough time debating legislation and matters of national importance.
DA Parliamentary leader, Lindiwe Mazibuko, says it's falling short in meeting its constitutional mandate.
"Parliament is still not working hard enough to fulfill its responsibilities and ensure that the real challenges facing South African are properly addressed."
