CAPE TOWN - Three people have been killed in an accident on Sir Lowry's Pass, Western Cape traffic officials said on Wednesday.

The outgoing lane has been closed.

Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says officials are on the scene redirecting motorists.

"The accident involves three vehicles. One vehicle is lying on top of another vehicle and three people have been killed."

Transport authorities urged motorists to drive responsibly.
