CAPE TOWN - The National First Division (NFD) log paints a pretty picture for Cape football at the moment, with all top four teams from the Mother City.

Milano United currently top the log and are five points clear of second placed Chippa United.

Santos occupy third with Vasco da Gama in fourth.

Unlike the three Cape Town teams below them, Milano United have never played in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

The team from Grassy Park is playing in its first season in the NFD in what is turning out to be a fairytale performance.

The team have lost just one game in its last 12 fixtures, and are on course for their top of the table finish come the December break.

Coach Theo Hempe is adamant his team will be in the Premiership next season and says they are not thinking about anything else.

"We definitely have the players and the depth in the squad from this position. I don't want to predict any other outcome. We want to gain promotion and we also want to make Cape Town proud."

The way things stand there could be as many as three Cape Town teams in the ABSA Premiership next season.

Ajax Cape Town have made their way into the top eight after a dismal 2011/2012 season.

This is quite a feat after nine of their key players were injured this season.

However, there is still a long a way to go and a lot of soccer to be played.
